Collaborating With Horses To Develop Emotional Intelligence
In May of 2013 The Center for Leadership Development (CFLD) completed a pilot research study on The Effectiveness of Equine Guided Leadership Education (EGLE) to Develop Emotional Intelligence in Expert Nurses. This was a two year intercollegiate collaboration between CFLD researchers, Patricia Dyk, PhD. and Lissa Pohl, MA., and University of Kentucky Healthcare's nurse researchers, Carol Noriega, RN, MSN, CEN, Janine Lindgreen, APRN and Robyn Cheung, PhD., RN.

Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Minister John McVeigh has urged horse owners to protect themselves and their horses from Hendra virus by vaccination.

China Horse Fair 2013 Will Set New Standards For China’s Equine Industry
Confirming its position as China’s most important event for equine professionals, the China Horse Fair 2013 (CHF 2013) is set to attract a record level of international exhibitors and trade visitors when its opens from 17-19 October 2013, at the New China International Exhibition Centre Beijing.

Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse continues to win over New South Wales. Due to the overwhelming reception from audiences and critics alike, thirteen additional performances have been added to the limited engagement of the show performed under the gleaming White Big Top, on The Showring at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park, which will now run through June 16, 2013.
Cavalia opened to enthusiastic reviews and standing ovations last week and continues to charm spectators of all ages. Giving the ongoing demand and strong ticket sales, Cavalia is thrilled to announce two more weeks of shows to its Sydney season.
After a successful season in Brisbane, the second Australian leg for the multi-disciplinary spectacular created by Normand Latourelle - one of the co-founders of Cirque du Soleil – kicked off May 15 with a star-studded audience under the White Big Top at the Entertainment Quarter. Following Sydney, the Canadian-based troupe will travel to Melbourne, where opening night is scheduled for August 7 at The Docklands.
TICKETS – For its exclusive season in Sydney, Cavalia will be presented under its signature White Big Top on The Showring at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park. Tickets are priced from $44.00 to $164.00 + applicable taxes and fees. For guests who desire an extraordinary outing, the show can be customized for an extended experience from $154.00 to $305.00, including a Horse Lovers Package that lets patrons tour Cavalia’s stables after the show, and the VIP Rendez-Vous Package that includes a post-show tour of the stables, a cocktail/dinner reception and much more.
