Review: Float Loading With James Meurer DVD
Just in time for Christmas and the summer holidays is this easy to follow DIYFloat Loading DVD from Aussie Horseman James Meurer.
Actually, the DVD has been out for a while now, but I thought it would make a great xmaspressie for any horse enthusiast. There are three things that I really like about this DVD
1. It’s Australian. I would rather watch an Aussie tell me how to train my horse any day.
2. It’s easy to follow.
3. It doesn’t require you to go through a whole level of someone’s training program just soyou can load your horse.
Did I mention it’s easy to follow? Well it is. I think even kids of pony club age (underadult supervision of course) could safely follow the directions on this dvd.
For starters, James breaks the float loading events into two distinct parts. He keeps itsimple each time.
He uses one demo horse throughout the DVD and the moment that horse goes on the float willmake you say “Wow!” – that’s exactly what I said, it was so quick and so unexpected (as wellas calm, unrushed and safe).
There’s also a very funny story involving float loading a miniature.
The techniques aren’t amazingly unique, or even “new” (and James makes no such claims). Whatthey are is simple, safe and effective.
(Oh, and I road tested the method, not with a float, but a dark stable a horse wouldn’tenter. Big thumbs up!)
Highly recommended.
