Safe and Competitive Mount for Child

This is a heartbreaking sale, and Jane will only be offered to the best of homes, only for sale as son is moving onto a more challenging mount, and Jane is too good to sit in the paddock at home to be ridden every now and then.
This little mare has been a life saver for our son Jed (now 10), he had a very bad buster off a horse, and she has been a great confidence builder for him, and along their journey for the past 2 years they have won highest point score, for the last 2 pony camps, and also highest pointscoring rider of our camp. She has won the stock horse challenge, and the combined training trophy at pony camp, along with the junior sporting horse under 13. Jane has a lovely soft snaffle mouth, canters along on a loose rein, without ever pulling. Happy to be at the front of the mob, or at the back, so long as she is travelling in the same direction it doesn't matter if the horses are 50 metres in front she will just canter along on a loose rein. She has done 2 years of pony camp with us, along with attending campdrafts and pony club rally days, school horse sports etc etc. Jed has been able to safely try tentpegging, and polocrosse at pony camp, along with having his very 1st start in a campdraft on Jane. She is a lovely quiet mare, but not for a beginner, more so for a confident rider going onto their second or third horse, she had stepped up with Jed as he has gotten more confident with his riding, responding well to his aids, as he learned how to use them. I would like to see her go to a knowledgeable horse home, as she is very special to us. Jed can canter along cracking a stock whip off her, and also safely muster a paddock of sheep or cattle on his own. Jed can happily do all aspects of looking after Jane and saddling her on his own, without my supervision.
