Striking 6yo Buckskin Gelding
Oakley is a 6yo homebred sports horse gelding (Clyde x TB) who perfectly combines the substance of a "chunky" modern type with the elegance of a sports horse. Standing at approximately 17hh, he is a striking Buckskin gelding with a presence that ensures he always stands out in a crowd. Oakley has been produced slowly and correctly to allow his large frame to mature. He is now established on the flat with three lovely paces, featuring a comfortable, easy-to-sit trot and a "rocking horse" canter. Walks to Canter. Currently in consistent work, has attended weekly lessons with Robert Goodwin for over a year and is confidently jumping 70cm–80cm at show jumping days. While he has shown great potential for dressage, he is a versatile partner who is just as happy on bush trails. He is a "more whoa than go" type who tries his heart out to please and could really turn his head at any discipline. Walks straight up to you in the paddock, with a playful puppy dog character. A sound, sturdy, easy-keeper who holds his condition exceptionally well, with worm, teeth, and shoes all up to date. Due to his age and size, he would be ideal for an ambitious, experienced rider looking for a genuine, high-quality partner to develop through the levels. No Beginners or daydreamers.
