Hi, my name is Marabou. My owner, Hanna, is originally from Sweden, and I was named after a well-known Swedish chocolate. Hanna has had me since I was one year old, and she began my education early. At three years old, I was broken in, and from there Hanna continued my training in eventing. I was also used for cattle work on the property, which helped make me a versatile and capable horse. For the next four years, Hanna and I made a wonderful team. Together we attended many local events around Mudgee including cowboy dressage, charity endurance rides, and trail rides. These experiences gave me a solid foundation and exposure to a variety of activities. Unfortunately, Hanna returned to Sweden with her family for a period of time, and when she came back, her career commitments meant she stepped away from riding. As a result, I spent the next three years mostly in the paddock, only been ridden occasionally when riders and horses visited. More recently, I have been brought back into regular work by a very experienced French rider, who has been riding me consistently over the last three months. During that time, I’ve come back into work beautifully and have also learned a few fun tricks, including high- five. At present my cues are in French, but with a little encouragement and perhaps a carrot, I am sure I can adapt. I am now mature, ready, and looking forward to our next chapter with a kind and loving owner, which is very important. I have a varied background, a solid education, and plenty to offer the right home. Priced to sell to the right owner.
