Luna Buckskin Luna is a sweet, sensitive mare who really shines out on the trails. She’s one of the best trail horses you’ll find — confident through most places you'll find. Sure-footed, and happy to go just about anywhere. She’s not marey at all, and she’s great with dogs, traffic, mud, puddles, and all the usual surprises you come across out bush. Established side pass and back up. Come to cue for when out on the trail and you need her to come to you on a log or rock (or whatever) to mount. Started working on dragging and carrying things. She's still a work in progress but moving forward in leaps and bounds. With a confident rider who can walk, trot, and canter independently, she’s a truly handy, enjoyable horse. She suits an intermediate to experienced rider who appreciates a sensitive type and enjoys a responsive partner. Buster was a race horse, after this he was a trial riding horse for a few years and then did not much for a couple of years before I bought him. I purchased him 2 years ago as a quiet horse for my kids to work with. He is very kind, ideally he will go to someone who just wants a horse to look after and do the odd trail ride. He is no good for jumping... well that I know of. He does pull back which i'm sure someone who knows more about horses could work with, he is good to groom and saddle, we often ride him after having not been ridden for a couple of weeks and no problem. He is a good doer. He needs consistent work on his feet to keep them in check as he is prone to cracked hoofs. He would float easily but I haven't put him on a float since I bought him. He is currently at Agistment where he could stay if you were local to Yandina creek or Sunshine Coast, it is really reasonable priced Agistment. Happy to sell him with all his gear included in the price. We don't have the time I wish we did for Buster and he deserve a bit more than we can offer him.
