Hi, my name is Marabou. My owner, Hanna, is originally from Sweden, and I was named after a well-known Swedish chocolate. Hanna has had me since I was one year old, and she began my education early. At three years old, I was broken in, and from there Hanna continued my training in eventing. I was also used for cattle work on the property, which helped make me a versatile and capable horse. For the next four years, Hanna and I made a wonderful team. Together we attended many local events around Mudgee including cowboy dressage, charity endurance rides, and trail rides. These experiences gave me a solid foundation and exposure to a variety of activities. Unfortunately, Hanna returned to Sweden with her family for a period of time, and when she came back, her career commitments meant she stepped away from riding. As a result, I spent the next three years mostly in the paddock, only been ridden occasionally when riders and horses visited. More recently, I have been brought back into regular work by a very experienced French rider, who has been riding me consistently over the last three months. During that time, I’ve come back into work beautifully and have also learned a few fun tricks, including high- five. At present my cues are in French, but with a little encouragement and perhaps a carrot, I am sure I can adapt. I am now mature, ready, and looking forward to our next chapter with a kind and loving owner, which is very important. I have a varied background, a solid education, and plenty to offer the right home. Priced to sell to the right owner.

Sunday is a lovely rising 7-year-old mare who is a pleasure to have around. She is well behaved for the dentist, farrier and worming, floats well and is usually easy to catch. She is a good doer and maintains her condition well for a thoroughbred. Due to work commitments, I simply don’t have the time she deserves and she is currently going to waste in the paddock. She would benefit from someone who can give her the time and consistency she needs. I can provide footage of Sunday when she was in work. Sunday can be slightly paddock-mate sour at times and may test her handler, so she is not suited to beginners/nervous handlers. She would be best suited to an experienced and confident home. However, she is quiet under saddle. A rare find of a thoroughbred that has never been raced or prepped for the track!
