Hardworking, Intelligent and Good looks

It is with a very heavy heart I offer my Lovely little Laila up for sale. Laila is a 7yo thoroughbred standing at 15.2hh she is compact intelligent, hardworking mare who is a pleasure to work with. I had originally purchased her with intentions of competing in Eventing competitions however due to study constraints and Covid I have been unable to do this. It is Laila’s large swinging walk accompanied by her eagerness to please and her quiet nature that makes me believe she would succeed in any of the Olympic disciplines. She is the type of horse that will dig deeper to try and give her partner that bit more wherever she can simply because you asked. Laila otherwise known as Shiny Laila had a mere 2 starts in her entire race career which came to an end in 2018. Laila is a dream on trail rides, loves to jump and has taken to the start of lateral work with ease. Laila is well natured and extremely quiet she has been ridden and handled by kids, she is not fazed by machinery, wind, roads, dogs, or chickens. Although Laila is very quiet, she requires a nurturing kind hand to further develop her talents and encourage her in the right direction. It is because of this Laila is not suited to beginners. There is no need to lunge her before you ride, and she isn’t hot after a few days off. Laila has strong hard feet and is good for the farrier, she is easy to worm, float, clip, wash, plait and can be coaxed easily with a treat any day she doesn’t feel like being caught. Laila does have strong herd instincts and is happiest when sharing a paddock with another horse but will comprise with a friend on the other side of the fence. This will be taken into consideration when choosing a new home for Laila. This sale comes with a very heavy heart and is through no fault of her own, as I’m going traveling and moving to WA at the end of the year.
