OTTB Gelding

This handsome lad is looking for his new home Menny ‘Warsash’ 5yo gelding OTTB - he is roughly 15.2hh - he’s by Fastnet Rock out of River Dove (he was purchased for 600k as a yearling) He retired sound from racing just under a year ago due to being too slow. As a racehorse his temperament was divine and he was very relaxed in different settings (beach included). Since retiring he has done minimal retraining with a young rider and has only recently been brought into work following a spell. He is straight forward to lunge, long rein ect but is still green under saddle (he is making lovely progress). Although he has been exposed to lots at a busy agistment property, he is a solid built boy and therefore is only suited to experienced riders due to his age and education level. He has recently been taken out to his first competition outing and handled the atmosphere beautifully and managed to take home first place. Vices: - He was a mild windsucker as a racehorse, however this is completely controlled whilst wearing a collar and he hasn’t done it since retirement (over 9 months). - Has typical TB feet that need regular attending to by a good farrier (don’t enquire if you think he’s a horse that can be stretched out past 6-8 weeks) - His off front leg is slightly turned out (this does not affect his paces or soundness)
