Barindale Passion Pop is an 8yo (9 in December), 14.3hh riding pony gelding whom we have had since July 2015. Bought for my then-11yo daughter, he has attended pony club, jump club, and interschools, competed and placed at 80cm on the current western show run with a friend's 11yo daughter. Training up to 90cm in lessons. He has competed in pony club gymkhanas, combined training, prelim dressage (placed 1st in prelim 1C at Condobolin show August 24th 2019, and has done 2 x EV60 one day events. He as attended 3 pony club camps, which include the regular PC activities as well as extras like campdrafting, team sorting, polocrosse, mounted games including balloon popping, stockmans challenges etc). Dior has been on many trail rides on our property, where we encounter deer, kangaroos, alpacas, donkeys, chickens and our dog. Dior is very lovely on the flat, and has big springy movement. Training at home in lengthened trot, leg yield, and started working on shoulder-in. He is bold and brave cross country, without ever getting strong, and he has no issue with ditches, water, banks, skinnies, or bright showjump wings and fill. Wonderful after a spell, and very tolerant, being used often when the kids have non-horsey friends over, and they want to have a ride on the arena. He is quiet to take out to pony club and lessons, but he is not for a nervous, beginner, or timid rider as he is forward moving when out at competitions. He does not buck, bolt, or rear, but he is best suited to a performance home, with a confident capable child, or a teen, or small adult. Dior was originally purchased as a green 4yo when my daughter was 11yo, and as such a green combination, they have had their share of ups and downs, but had so much fun along the way, learning so much, and he has become a ripper performance pony. Sadly, my daughter has moved onto much bigger horses, and Dior needs a job. He is very well suited to a performance home. Always barefoot with rock-hard feet, his teeth, saddle fit, and bodywork have always been regularly attended to keep him in prime condition. He is currently fit and in full work with my friend and her 11yo daughter. Dior has been competing with them on the western showjumping run of shows - Condobolin, Cowra, Grenfell, Parkes, Peak Hill.
