Chestnut Gelding ex polo
Born in the UK, bred from a champion polo mare and imported to Australia. He was a well-known and very talented polo pony of Simon Tate, who is no longer riding, unfortunately due to the onset of Dementia. Simon retired him at 10 years old and he has been with me since then. I have not had the opportunity to ride him, due to an unexpected new baby and then lately the lack of agistment riding facilities. He has only been ridden a few times in the last 7 years and done a weekend of ground work, where he picked things up quickly. He is so trainable and willing. I have decided to sell him because I moved into a townhouse 3 years ago and have not been able to afford living on land to be with him. No bite, never kicks, easy to rug, float and shoe. He has great hooves and self trims evenly when barefoot. Gets along well with all horses, self exercises, likes to run around at times, and will play with other geldings. He also gets along with goats and chickens, and is respectful but weary of dogs. He is quite a character and a delight to have around the house yard. He is happy out grazing and will come running when I call him. He is super smart, senstive, lots of fun, quick to learn, very responsible to leads, agile and active. He is currently in paddock condition and ready for someone to take him on as a project horse or just potter with him. But ultimately he shines being around people and horses, with grass to eat. He comes with Simon Tate's saddle and his own rugs.. This is a very special one of a kind horse and I will miss him dearly.
