Kirby 6 Year Old 15.3 Appaloosa Gelding AAA Registered Sire“BROCKHAMSPIDERMAN” Broken in June 2020 by Siri Spranz Looking for an * experienced* home to continue his training Kirby is such a sweet and cuddly guy. When he gets to know you he never wants to leave you, but with new people and places he is a very nervous horse and needs time to warm up to you, he lacks confidence and needs someone with a firm but KIND hand to continue his training and give him the confidence that he needs. Please do not enquire if you think beating the spook out of him is the answer. Ask him a question, give him time then he will give you the right answer I bought him to mainly be a trail ride horse but I have found that I am not experienced enough to give him the training and exposure that he needs as he is quite a nervous horse. While away being broken in he had been out on quiet roads and was okay with cars passing, albeit slowly. Kirby doesn’t mind dogs as long as they don’t get around his feet, he has kicked out once and only once but that was when I first brought him home unbroken and fairly untouched. *Hasn’t kicked out at dogs since* even with them around his legs. He’s great and really friendly with other horses not a bad bone in his body, and respects his fencing. Doesn’t windsuck. He’s been barefoot all his life and is good to tie, trim, brush, rug, and wash - he loves being pampered and fussed over, can stand all day. Good to lead, wear a fly veil and walks up to you to be caught. He can be tricky with worming paste. Good for dentist, just had them done in June. Kirby does best and is currently on oaten hay with Hygain allrounder pellets, linseed oil and one supplement- Poseidon Equine EQ He’s a great mover under saddle and has an easy trot and canter when in work and responds well to voice commands, soft mouth and doesn’t lean on the bit. He’s been exposed to trot poles and cavalettis, he seems to enjoy jumping:) Kirby can give a little buck when being brought back into work. He has been out of work since the 30th of September. Kirby did have an accident in the float in August 2020 resulting in small scars ( you can hardly see them, hair is starting to cover them ) on his hind leg and above his eye, happy to provide pics. I haven’t tried to load him since so he may need some convincing to get him on. Straight load only as he scrambles badly in angle. Kirby, in my eyes, is the greatest horse I’ve had he’s taught me so many things and is very dear to me. His personality is to die for and is the sweetest and most honest horse, he’s just a big scaredy-cat haha, he’s very playful and loves to mess around with a ball. With that being said he will only go to someone who I see fit for him and has the experience needed for him. It is not first in best dressed. If you do decide to sell him afterwards please I’d like to be kept in the know and would like updates on how he’s doing:) - 6. ooo. Ad won’t allow correct price
